Asian (Asiphose) Chlorpyriphos 20% EC is a broad-spectrum, non-systemic organophosphate insecticide with contact, stomach, and fumigant action commonly used to control pests like aphids, bollworms, and termites in agriculture. It is effective for crops like cotton, paddy, and vegetables at a dose of 1–2 ml per liter of water.

• Mode of Action: It kills insects by inhibiting the acetylcholinesterase (AChE) enzyme, disrupting their nervous system.
• Target Pests: Effective against bollworms, whiteflies, aphids, stem borers, cutworms, and termites.
• Usage Areas: Used in agricultural fields (paddy, cotton, and vegetables), greenhouses, and for termite control.

Application Dosage
The recommended dosage for effective use is:

• 1–2 ml of formulation per liter of water

OR

• Approximately 1.0–1.5 liters per hectare

Safety Measures: It is toxic to humans. It can cause eye irritation and requires careful handling, including protective gear during application. In case of exposure, the recommended antidote is atropinization.
