Asian (Quinlux) Cypermethrin 25% EC is a highly concentrated, broad-spectrum synthetic pyrethroid insecticide used to control chewing and sucking pests in agriculture (e.g., cotton, vegetables) and for indoor pest control (e.g., cockroaches, termites). It acts as a fast-acting neurotoxin, causing the rapid knockdown and paralysis of insects via contact and stomach action.
- Formulation: Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC) - 250 grams of active ingredient per liter.
- Mode of Action: Non-systemic with contact and stomach poison actions. It affects the insect nervous system by disrupting sodium channels.
- Target Crops: Cotton, sugarcane, maize, groundnut, cabbage, cauliflower, okra, brinjal, and sunflower.
- Pest Spectrum: Highly effective against bollworm, diamondback moth, fruit borer, shoot borer, jassids, and whiteflies.
- Dosage & Application: Generally, a dose of 150-300 ml per acre is recommended, diluted in water, and applied as a foliar spray.
- Key Features: Rapid action, high efficacy at low doses, and generally does not leave a heavy residue.
